Airspace Restriction Around Auburn Suggests Obama Visit

Airspace Restriction Around Auburn Suggests Obama Visit

The possibility that President Obama may include a stop in Auburn during his visit to Central New York this week seems improved with news that airspace over the city has been restricted.

The FAA issued a notice that airspace in a 30-mile radius around Auburn will be restricted from 7:30pm Thursday to 10am Friday. That limits aircraft inside a 10-mile ring of that space to just military planes supporting the Secret Service and the Office of the President. That makes it more likely that the president will visit the Harriet Tubman House in Auburn and stay overnight in the area.
