Auburn Police Arrest Suspect In Stabbing Death

Auburn police say they have made an arrest in the death of a man brought on by a fight at a residence.

Police say they responded to a home on Case Avenue and found the victim of a stabbing attack, identified as Matthew Prego of Skaneateles. He was later pronounced dead. Officers searched for the suspect, who fled on foot. They eventually apprehended Kevin Ritchie of Auburn. Ritchie was charged with second degree murder as well as other offenses. He was ordered held without bail.
