More than 50 LGS participants will be spread out across the following locations:
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
PEACE Inc. (food pantry) –
Francis House (only if it’s not raining) -
Interreligious Food Consortium -
1:30 – 4:00 p.m.
Before getting to work, the participants will be provided with an overview on the purpose of the organization in which they are assisting. “This community service day was designed to give our current class the opportunity to see what it is like, first hand, to get involved with a local non-profit organization,” says Pam Brunet, LGS executive director. “It is our hope that once they see how important and rewarding it is, they will continue giving back to the community following their graduation from LGS,” she added.
The mission of LGS is to inspire current and future leaders to make a difference in the community where we live and work.
The program was founded by the City of
