Drone Protesters Sentenced To Jail, Fines

A Dewitt judge has handed down sentences for five people found guilty of trespassing during a protest of unmanned drones at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base.

Judge Robert Jokl handed down fifteen day sentences and $125 court surcharges to Jim Clume, Brian Hynes, Ed Kinane and Mark Scibilia-Carver. For Julia Oldfield, who represented herself, Jokl ordered 50 hours of community service, the same surcharge, and a one year conditional release. Jokl found all five guilty of trespassing during an October protest at the base.
