The Baldwinsville school district has completed an investigation into an alleged hazing incident Friday on school property.
As a result of that investigation, some students have been suspended on the boys cross country team and others have been disciplined. Initially, all 54 members of the team were suspended on Friday as the district began an investigation.
Superintendent Jeanne Dangle says each member of the team was interviewed to find out who was involved and to what extent and punishment was then handed out. Dangle though would not go into any detail about the incident other than to confirm the hazing, and to say that there were no injuries.
Those students not associated with the incident were allowed to go on with practice on Tuesday and compete on Wednesday in a match against Syracuse.
Dangle says Level One violations were made of their Code of Conduct, which resulted in the suspensions.
Dangle says the book is now closed on the incident.
