There's been another death at the Onondaga County Justice Center, and jail officials say the death is being attributed to a medical condition that one inmate suffered from.
61 year old John Wright of Salina was pronounced dead at University Hospital.
At about 3:15 Friday morning, Justice Center Staff noticed that Wright had difficulty breathing. He was housed in the Justice Center's Behavioral Health Unit and was being constantly supervised. The deputy assigned to the watch noticed a change in Wright's snoring and immediately contacted thier medical staff. Deputies entered Wright's cell and found that he was unresponsive. Staff began CPR, but Wright was pronounced dead at Upstate University Hospital.
Sherriff's Deputies say Wright had a history of medical conditions and they've now awaiting autopsy results from the Onondaga County Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death.
Wright was being held in the jail on 50 thousand dollars bail after he was arrested May 2nd on a charge of Menacing and Criminal Possession of a Weapon after an incident that occurred in the Town of Salina.
