President speaks in Syracuse

Speaking to a Syracuse gym full of college-bound students, their parents and admirers from across the region, President Barack Obama laid out his plan to make college more affordable for the mdidle class.

The President's bus arrived at Henninger High School shortly before 6 p.m. About a half hour later, he was introduced by Corcoran High School senior Emilio Ortiz.

The address came at the end of a day of stops by the President in western and central New York, starting with a morning address about college costs at the University at Buffalo, lunch with college-age adults in Rochester and a visit to the Women's Rights Historical Park in Seneca Falls.
