Reward Offered In Animal Abuse Case

A six thousand dollar reward is now being offered that leads to an arrest and conviction after a horrible case of animal abuse in Syracuse.

City Police found a dead pitbull in the Comstock neighborhood this week. The dog had been starved to death and weighed only 13 pounds. The dog should have weighed between 40 and 50 pounds.

The dog was discovered near a garbage dumpster on Smith Lane.

The Humane Society of the United States has now put up a five thousand dollar reward and the local 'Cuse Pit Crew, an animal rights organization, has put up another thousand dollars.

The Syracuse Police department is investigation the case and anyone with information is being asked to contact their animal abuse tip line at 442-5336.
